The child's parent or legal guardian must grant consent for children under the age of 16.

Growth of WhatsApp WhatsApp, owned by Facebook, is now the most popular online messenger app with one billion users worldwide. Ex-Yahoo employees started the company in 2009, and it grew quickly from a small start-up to 250,000 users in just a few months. Because of how quickly it grew, they had to add a fee for using the service once a year to slow down the subscription rate. Facebook bought WhatsApp in 2014, and the company has continued to grow, reaching the one billion users mark in July 2017.

It is well known with young people due to highlights like gathering visiting, voice messages and area sharing.

To utilize WhatsApp you want a viable cell phone or tablet with a sim card, a web association, and a telephone number.
